HOME ROOTS

We are proud to implement our philanthropy initiative to provide educational resources in Álvaro Obregón, México. 10% of our hoodie sales are streamlined to fund e-learning tools.

Álvaro Obregón, Michoacán is a pueblito that carries a special home feel for our founders. With 8,807 residents, two of those were our founders’ parents. Although our parents haven’t stepped on their native soil for decades, we make an effort to go visit the community that has been apart of our family’s story for generations.

Sad reality is that opportunities in México are limited. A sector we see great potential in growth is education. We are aiming to create less barriers for young students already facing discouraging statistics. Álvaro has a 68% school enrollment. The shift to e-learning due to the pandemic has furthermore decreased the number of students due to lack of supplies and sense of structure. We hope you join our journey in shifting the narrative.

In December we made our first direct impact of ‘Roots’ with our donation of a brand new laptop to enhance the e-learning experience. Prior to receiving the laptop, Rogelio and Ramon were using their mom’s cellphone to have video classes. We hope to continue our mission of providing for kids with dreams of learning that can’t afford basic e-learning materials.

HLLSA Chicago-Kent

We partnered with The Hispanic Latinx Law Student Association at Chicago-Kent Law School to launch four custom t-shirt designs.

The proceeds went to aid their Moot Court funding. We were so honored to aid in their mission in providing more representation for Latino and Black lawyers.
